Access to information

PAIA requests and public records

You can request records held by Abrasim under the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA) when you need them to exercise or protect a right. This page explains how to make a request and links to the official forms and guidance.

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Request route

Send a request to Abrasim

Email info@abrasim.co.za with the subject “PAIA request”. Please identify the record requested, the right you seek to exercise or protect, why the record is required for that purpose, your preferred form of access and the capacity in which you are making the request.

Use the Information Regulator's prescribed Form 2: Request for Access to Record →. If you request a record on another person's behalf, include proof of authority.

A request does not guarantee disclosure. PAIA's procedural requirements, permitted grounds of refusal, third-party rights and any prescribed fees may apply. Abrasim will communicate the outcome through the details supplied in the request.

Available without a formal request

Public website records

You do not need a PAIA request to read our public pages, published Insights or guides, download the public guide tools or view the Privacy Notice.

Information Officer and manual

Formal details require confirmation

Our legal-entity details, head of the private body, registered Information Officer and business addresses still require verification. We have not named an unverified person as the registered Information Officer. This interim page is not a completed Section 51 manual.

Until the verified details and complete manual are published, send privacy and access requests to info@abrasim.co.za. We will route them to the responsible business authority.

Official guidance

Use the Regulator's forms and guidance

The Information Regulator publishes the PAIA guide, private-body manual template, request and complaint forms, and explains the process for requesting records from private bodies.
